This early learning project in Dayton was designed in collaboration with Childscapes and brought to life with DG Play’s custom play elements.
The space is tailored for younger children, combining natural textures, shaded areas, and a variety of play opportunities that encourage exploration, creativity, and social play.
The playground features timber climbing structures, nest swings, a climbing wall, and sand and water play areas, all set on soft white sand with surrounding landscaped gardens. Shaded by large sail structures, the area is comfortable year-round, while pathways and natural rock edging create a safe, organic flow throughout the space.
Special attention was given to interactive elements like a mud kitchen and timber platforms, which foster imaginative play and sensory learning. The use of natural jarrah and log construction ensures durability and a warm, inviting aesthetic that ties in seamlessly with the centre’s outdoor environment.
The result is a beautiful, practical, and engaging space that supports children’s development through nature-inspired play.
