DG Play partnered closely with the local school community in Hillarys to deliver a nature-inspired play space that blends creativity, active play, and exploration.
At the heart of the project is the custom-designed timber play structure, known as Wilderness Walk. This feature includes interconnecting bridges, climbing nets, and elevated walkways that encourage movement, imagination, and teamwork. The space also integrates balance logs, rope challenges, and slides to cater to a wide range of age groups and abilities.
Inclusive play was a key focus, with elements such as an all-abilities carousel ensuring every child can join in the fun. Natural finishes such as jarrah decking, log edging, and mulch surfacing help integrate the playground seamlessly with its surroundings, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
The result is a vibrant, multi-layered play space that encourages physical activity, imaginative play, and social connection, reflecting the school’s commitment to creating opportunities for every child to thrive.
